Are there difference in the acer one 110.
I have two acer one's for my son and daughter, on de one for my son i've installed windows xp. He needed it for school (text to speech software) there was no problem.
If i wan't to install windows xp on the one for my daughter it wan't work. He can't determin the kind of processor that is in the comp.
So my question is is there difference in the processors, single core - dual core

I've installed Mandriva 2009, because i know Mandriva better then windows.
Everything is working exept the cardreaders. But she uses a usb-stick till there is a fix for the cardreaders.

To get the card readers to work just add the following lines to /etc/rc.d/rc.local

#following line is to help the card reader read the card when inserted.
    /sbin/modprobe pciehp pciehp_force=1

The # makes the line following it to be just a comment.

If at boot there are cards in the slots and Mandy is up i eject the cards and put them back they are regonized. But there is no entry in /etc/fstab
They must be regonized at boot because the left one is my /home.

Did you insert the information into the files? What process did you use to make the left SD card your home. I am to see if they may have fixed some things during an update.

I putt the two lines in /etc/rc.local, reboot and nothing. I make it my /home in the KDE configurationcenter, for now it is /music.
The strange thing is if i run 2009 gnome liveCD it all works, the cardreaders, fn-keys and with 2009 KDE not.
My daughter want to work with KDE. I must check for the latest update's

Reading here on the forum the KDE version takes more tweaking to get the same results.

Because of the extra tweaks I don't use KDE and now actually prefer Gnome so sorry to say I can't help you with Mandriva KDE tweaks but I am sure you could find them with a little search effort. Good luck.
