Just sitting at my desk. Turned back to the Aspire and Firefox was blank. Realized that wireless in system bar was simply gone. Not listed as an option in Network Connections. Wireless adapter does not show up in Hardware list in Device Manager. Of course just bought yesterday to go out of town today. Any thoughts, besides return ASAP?

    Thanks, mastman

Switch does not do anything because the network card is not recognized in the system. I will head back to the store when I get back in town next week if it has not sorted itself out. Thanks for trying the obvious! That was where I started as well. -mm

If you shut off the machine (not restart) the wireless should reappear. This is common problem much discussed here. The solution appears to be to flash to the 3305 bios and install the latest wifi driver (7.1.6.160). At least that has fixed it for many of us. You apparently have to do both. Search for wifi threads.
