Dead USB

    So I installed Windows 10 on my laptop and since then lost both of my USB hubs. Cant get them to turn on. Tried lots of stuff, Had lots of people play with it and still don't work. NEED HELP. Other problem. Did have a USB3 that did work, But fried it doing some Arduino cnc shield experiments. techs say need to replace whole board and not worth it. What I need is help turning on other USB ports on(tech couldn't do it.dont think they wanted to) So what i have is cd drive that's removable SATA. Is there anything I can plug into the SATA plug that would give me USB ports? thank you.

    I also have a ethernet port . Can that be converted to a working port?
