I'm not conscious with the battery consumption because all the software installed in my laptop are official issues only. We are not allowed to install any other software particularly for personal use. But when my laptop was new, the tech advised me to consume the battery until it hit bottom before I charge it. That is to give the battery a longer life, said that tech. But it's difficult to do that because sometimes I am in a hurry finishing my work and getting a lowbatt status ruins my mood. And now that my laptop is not new anymore, I always plug it when I am using it in the office.
