Have you noticed that cpu is dropping to 798Mhz sometimes? It looks like its just when it runs on battery, but mine is now connected to a power supply but its still 798:

That's the power saving feature kicking. You mast have set it to Max Battery. It will throttle down the CPU speed to save power. Upon load, the system will automatically scale it back to higher Mhz when needed. If you want it to stay 1.6ghz all the time, change the power savings settings. Cheers.

It seems that regardless of the power management settings the CPU speed is constantly switching between 800 and 1600MHz which is a problem. Some programs experience problems when trying to run fluent.

Any idea how to fix the frequency on 1600MHz? On DELL notebook is enough to put the Power Settings to
"Always ON". But with Aspire this is not working.
