I have an iriver mp3 player that I wanted to get connected to my Aspire one. I found an application on SourceForge called ifpgui that is supposed to provide a graphical interface to allow file transfer.

However when I try and install I get the following message:- Missing dependency QT3 is needed by ifpgui.

I went looking for QT3 and found references to complete developer kits or framework libraries at
    http://www.qtsoftware.com/downloads/downloads#lgpl

Can someone advise me which I should install, to get the ifpgui application working.

I am a relative beginner when it comes to Linux but I have already installed skype, audacity and have activated the advanced desktop

    Thanks
    Gordon

Have you tried searching on "iriver" in Pirut? You might find another app in the repos that will handle connecting to that device.

    Cheers.
