Connect to XP attached printer ...

    Hi,

    need to connect windows version to printer on same LAN attached to an XP home machine, have tried IP/printer name but no dice, ANY ideas ..

    Or maybe I am doing something wrong. How do I connect a shared printer ?

    Set up the printer as a shared device on your other computer by right clicking your installed printer and select Sharing - follow onscreen prompts. On your One open Printers - Add Printer - Next - Select Network Printer. Make sure both computers are in the same workgroup. You will have to install the printer driver on your One also. Alternatively if your printer has an ethernet port connect it to your router, install the driver on both computers and configure a port with th eprinter ip address assigned by the router.
