    Hello,

My 120GB HDD from Acer One is working fine but sometimes there is a light "click" sound to hear. This sound is also to hear if the pc stands alone there with nothing to do and no reason to access the harddisk.
Is that normal or is it the head knocking on the wall of the harddrive and it'll be crashed soon? Or maybe this sound is from another part of the computer? (I never had a SATA HDD before, maybe strange sounds are normal!? I hear nothing from the HDD when it access, only this click sound once in 15 minutes or so. That's irritating, I'm accustomed to HDDs where you hear when they do something. :? )

Do you have that sound too in your AA1?

if it's a "tick", then it's normal. You can use software to disable this (APM is causing this). Look into a1ctrl (found in the software hacks section).
