There are maybe 8 - 10 different versions of the 'Chromebook' - so, a little more info is necessary...

MOST Chromebooks have only got a 'small' Solid State Drive, (16Gb) which would fit Windows 7 on it... B.U.T.... NOT much else...
    However,
The Acer C720 (720P-2600) has a 32Gb Drive but only 2Gb of RAM
    (that MAY be an SSD!)
    While
The Acer C7 (710-2055) has a 320Gb Hard drive and 4Gb of RAM
And the Icing on the cake...
The Acer 720P-2600 has a TOUCH screen.... i.e. barely suitable for Win 8.1

If you own either of the Acers above, you should be home and dry...

ALL OTHERS (afaik) have ARM CPU's and will NOT run Windows... AT ALL (!!!)

Acer, Dell, HP, Samsung and Toshiba have each built Chromebooks if each made two = 10... Acer have made at least 2, HP, Dell and Toshiba - at least one each and Samsung.... at least 3 and there may be others...
I try to be factual... I'm seriously considering the DELL 11 - it has 2 - USB 3 ports... to replace my Sammy N150 Plus...
