Can't use keyboard to login in XP SP3

    Hi there
    I'm having this really weird problem: my keyboard seems to work fine, i can go into the bios and move things around, but when i try to login to my sesion in xp, they keyboard is not responding. Also, they trackpad works fine until i press a key and it also stops working.

    Any ideas? thanks btw

    Well, now my keyboard works but the trackpad is not working..

    it is displayed under the Device Manager, i reinstalled the sinaptycs driver provided in the website and it is being recognized, still it wont move the cursor on the screen..

    i think it has something to do with the device launcher that comes preinstalled, and i have just removed it:O

    Tried removing the battery? That trick usualy works with other laptops
