Can't install windows 7 after installing ssd drive

    I have an Asus x540n laptop. I had windows 7 on it and it was working fine. After replacing a ssd drive with its hdd, I installed Windows 10 on it. Now I want to reinstall windows 7. But after installation, windows 7 freezes on STARTING WINDOWS step. Please someone HELP.
    P.S:
    - I use a flash drive for installation.
    - When I choose optical drive as first boot, it returns to bios setup and nothing happens.

    Did you try doing a clean install of Win7? Delete all the partitions that Win10 created in the Win7 Setup and then install Win7 clean on a partition?
