Can't find installed application

    Hoping you can help please.

    I have installed PovRay which installed and run a test following install. All appeared to be working but I do not have a launch icon anywhere and hence can't use it.

    I can find the install folder but I can no longer run the application. Using find for the folder when I right click and open folder the system tells me :

    'Could not open folder "/usr/local/bin".' The nautilus file manager is not running.'

    I assume this is associated with the Acer desktop and from previous threads I cannot install nautilus.

    Anyone know how I can access the program? Any help appreciated.

    I am a Linux noob and have learnt a great deal from this forum using search however, on this occasion could not find a relevant thread.

    Hi i have also installed pov ray as rpm but dont know how to open it as i cannot find it anywhere has anybody got it on there machine successfully
