cant download anything

    hi all.getting really frustrated with this linux buisness.and am thinking of going back to xp.i cant download anything........i have a brand new acer one aspire with 120gb hard drive.and have tried to just download basic games and software just as a test but the pre installed xarchiver will not allow me to extract any files that have been downloaded.i can see the files in xarchiver but it wont let me unpack them.........any ideas folks :(

    1. Where are you downloading these games from, and how are you trying to install them?

    2. Have you read the HowTo on installing software under Linpus? See http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5105

    Note that xarchiver isn't a means of installing things; it's just that installation packages come in a compressed archive format, so Linpus uses the archiving utility to let you see what's in them.
