Just bought another aa1 with windows xp installed on it via the 3 network. When I want to access the internet via internet explorer7 it will not load and i get the following message 'cannot find http://there are chinese symbols here not easy to type, make sure the path or internet address is correct. The only way that I can access the internet is, if I right click internet explorer icon and select 'start without add ons'. This is ok until I want to access things like bbc-iplayer etc. Getting frustrated not sure what I'm supposed to do?

Well i've finally got Internet explorer to work, I installed Google chrome and then I installed flash player. I then tried to open up internet explorer and it worked a treat, hopefully this has rectified the problem

You should be getting the upgrade to IE8 via Windows Update. It's better and faster.

I second Firefox. Faster and more secure than IE.

FF 3.0 is still my default browser because there are several extensions I like, but it's become increasingly crashy, and I'm getting increasingly impatient with it (tried a reinstall and it hasn't helped.) The new 3.5 last I checked was also unstable. Everybody needs IE for Windows Updates, etc. Active X support and IE8 is quite competitive with FF now. Although i don't like Snoople and would never default to it, I do use Chrome for Google's proprietary products, and increasingly using it for video streams like Hulu and Crackle. It is noticeably faster than the others, for now anyway.

    Hi Folks!

I had the same problem and turning Google Desktop off fixed the problem. Not sure why, but it did.
