I've got the Linpus Linux Acer Aspire One, but I'm not always within range of a WiFi signal. Is there any way to use my cell phone to tether into the internet? I could see this possibly working in three configurations:

    1) Using my current (non-internet) phone, a RAZR v3, through a dial-up connection to AOL or the like.

    2) Using my current phone (the RAZR v3 still) with a data plan that I could add but don't have yet. (T-Mobile is my provider)

    3) Using a new smart phone. I'm planning to get the Google G1 with data plan on T-Mobile.

    Any thought? Thanks, gang!......Jake

well I tether my iphone to my AAO, so as long as you have the proper steps to tether your phone you should have no problem. However, I dont know how this plays out on linux :|
