The "5" key on my keyboard often doesn't work with a standard tap. If I give it a little more pressure, though, it works fine. So I figure there might be something stuck under it. But before I pry off the key and take a look I want to be sure that I won't break something in the process. So, is there anything I need to know?

You can also hold the keyboard upside down and rasp it with your fingers to bounce the junk out.

I managed to accidentally pry off the F8 key while upgrading RAM. It just popped back on and there dosen't seem to be any problems.

yes it is possible, it is a hinge like action you start by pushing it upwards from the letter T side and then tilt it towards the screen, it has 2 clips there and then 2 on the F5-F6 position which slide away..

look it up on youtube 1st i think there are some tutorials.

if you want more info, tell me and i'll try to be more descriptive..
