Yes, works great. Synaptics apparently has some form of AGC (Automatic Gain Control) that cancels out consistent interference so it only picks up fingers/etc. This works both ways (for better or worse) - if you rest your hand or fingers too near the touch pad for a long time (like while watching a You Tube video, or using MS Paint), the AGC can start to exclude your finger as an input (requiring you to stop using it for a few seconds, to reset it's "baseline").

What pisses me off is how wires interfere with the touchpad. (Usually my heaphones do this.
