browser keeps going back when keyboarding

    Not hitting the touchpad by any chance? While the mouse pointer is on the "back" button on the browser?

    Backspace on the keyboard is a shortcut to go to the previous page of the browser. Make sure you're not touching that.

    I had this as well, it's horizontal scroll that's mapped to backwards/forwards in firefox.
    I think you can either disable this is firefox, or if you've got big sausage fingers like mine, you might prefer to disable horizontal scrolling altogether... Edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf as below (I'd strongly recommend you make a copy of the working version first!)
