Brand New (8GB Linux) Aspire One Not Workin!! Please Help!

Hi All,

I just (as in this afternoon) bought a 8GB Aspire One. I plugged it in, switched it on and managed to set the time/date/password bit, and then it turnned off. so I switched it on, it boots up and starts up only up to the Aspire One title page and thats it. I've switch it off and left it to charge for quite a bit but the same thing happends everytime, it just stops on that Apire One page.

PLEASE!!!!! can anyone help. I'm so disapointed because I only got it today!! :cry:

I had a very similar problem to the one you have (and I just received the Aspire One today, as well).

You need to charge it for about an hour or so. Everything should be fine then.

Also, your network settings might get corrupted, so you'll want to fix those:
