I have a slightly different problem from others after opening up my SSD/Linux A1 to upgrade the memory. When I turn on the machine now it flashes the Aspire One graphic splash screen, then blanks (totally dark) and then brings up a black X (I assume) screen with a mouse cursor ("X"). I can move the cursor around, but that is it, no continue booting into XFCE, no errors, nothing.

Is there a way to display the console as linpus is booting? I would like to see what error messages (if any) are showing up. But since it gets as far as showing a GUI mouse pointer, it isn't completely hosed.

I removed the memory (sorry I dont remember the type, but the BIOS did show 1.5gb after I installed it) and the problem remains.

    Any ideas?
