Black Screen Issue

    Hello, my neighbor is having a problem with her laptop. I was able to have a quick look at the issue the other day and run a few scans. Windows found some corrupted files but couldn't fix them via the "SFC /SCANNOW" command. It appears to be running Windows 8.1.

    Anyway, on to the issue. So the best way to describe it would be that it seems to go to a blank screensaver every second. Moving the mouse brings the screen back but a second later it goes blank again. I still have some things to check within windows that could fix the issue such as display drivers etc but I was wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar and fixed it in the past.
