If I plug in my Acer One into external power I can access the internet thru my ADSL unit using Internet Explorer just fine. On battery I can't. My wireless connection shows all the bars and says the connection is "excellent". Any one else experence this and find a cure? Is it possible my battery is weak amp wise? It shows a full charge. Any help appreciated.

If you're on WinXP and browsing via WLAN, then it might be that you need to change the power saving settings in your device manager.

    This is a common problem.
You need to go to device manager, and change the property of the atheros wireless card.
Change the default setting of 'maximum' to 'off' for power saving.

Mine does this on battery mode, especially if the laptop came back from standby or hibernate.
