battery will not charge

    Recently the original battery that came with my 5735 laptop lost its charge and would not recharge when the
    laptop was plugged in. So I ordered a new battery and I have the same problem, ie it will not charge. Is is possible that the fault could be with the actual charger itself?

    Definitely try swapping out the charger. You might be looking at a service repair.

    I usually tell ppl to reinesrt the battery, but if u put in a new one, that's not the issue.

    my aao wouldn't charge the battery when I bought it at a pawn shop, but I came here and found on some other thread that the bios needed updating. I did that, and it works great now!
