Standard LED have 2 points - and +.
    This one has 3 - + +
Makes sure C2 the middle one is Soldered on also.
Else you only get one Color light up.

So there are 3 solder points? left side, right side, and middle? If the original LED was also soldered in the middle (i.e. between the LED and the board), how would i go about desoldering it remove it?

Heat all 3 points up first. Dont jank on the LED yet.
Then you go get someting point push against the back of the LED very slightly while you heat it up again. Thats one way.

Another way is a Desolder Tube or Desolder Cable
    [IMG]

Hold the nozel near the Solder while heating up press button and it sucks the Solder of the board.

The Wire, place cable on solder you want to remove and heat it up it will act like a spunge. "caution hot cable"

I have a desoldering tube, so i'll be good for that. What i don't get is where is this 3rd point? When i opened it up, i only saw solder on either side of the original LED. Sorry ipearl, thanks for being patient with me. ^ ___^

Oh this is someone elses that messed up atempting installing Bluetooth.

I haven't gotten time to repair his errors due to New semester start at Uni.

He fried the Chip that he was trying to get 5v from
So i have to bridge it with a new one (Different size)
or resolder a new one can i can get off a bunch of scrap devices that i can find at work.

As of mines its running of 1.8" 100GB HD w/ 1.5GB ram.
I am looking for 3 Blue LEDs and 2 Blue/Red Bi color Leds.
But haven't found any yet. And i am still deciding on Bluetooth or not mod.

have u seen the ultra tiny Bluetooth usb adapter. It's very tiny. When u have an adapter that small, why go through all the trouble of an internal mod (besides the required USB slot)

Thats the one he want to stuff inside it like "tnkgrl" which he failed.
The reason he wanted to do that was he wanted to keep all 3 USB ports open.
And the added cool factor. Its a NetPC Warzone at my school if you hit the library.

You see tricked out Asus EEE, Modded MSI Winds, Clouds Now Acer Ones.
Some people are more skilled in modding hardware than others.

The one with the most added items while still keeping OEM look and Great Functionality(Battery Life etc) is considered the better buy. And people will follow and buy and try the same.
