Windows 7 64-bit with latest driver

    1920x1080 60i

Tried both MPC-HC and WMP with no other applications running

CPU will run at 100% and the video stutters a lot.

Is there any way to improve the performance?

    Thanks

Are you using the latest graphics drivers?

Updated driver and WMP plays it back just fine with 25% CPU.

MPC HC still does not work. The filter does show MPC Video Decoder. Does anyone know what settings could be missing?

    Thanks

Did you just install MPC-HC by itself? Or as part of a codec pack? I suggest the K-Lite Mega CoDec Pack from http://www.free-codecs.com installed as "lots of stuff without player" , have never had a problem with it on any system.

The fix is to choose one of the EVR in the output setting of MPC
