    Hi,

I have a problem with my Maxtor OneTouch4 Plus. I am running XP Pro on an AA150 with 1Gb RAM.

It works fine on initial boot up, but if I restart my Aspire, the USB drive doesn't connect.

I have checked the Intel site and I have the latest 945 chipset drivers. Is there something in the BIOS that I need to look at? Could it be because it is a SATA disk, even though it is through USB interface?

    Thanks,

    Jon.

This is now the same with all my USB media.

Has anyone else had this problem. It is getting annoying having to unplug and reinsert every time I restart or shutdown.

It is as though the USB hub is not getting reintialized or read on startup and seeing the already connected devices.

    Jon.

I have spoken to Acer support and they say it is most likely a hardware problem. Can the One really be that flakey?

Is the ASUS any better, cause I am seriously considering returning it for a refund and changing to an EeePC.
