whenever I put my aspire on Sleep mode, I have to do a hard reboot in order to wake it up.
I have checked my power management settings and the problem remains.
    any solution ?

    thx

I had the same issue when I upgraded the ram. I put the factory ram back in and now it standbys and wakes up everytime without fail

Hi Jai and thx for your reply.

now, how can I fix the problem without putting back the factory 1GB RAM.
its very strange to not be able to upgrade to 2GB RAM because of Sleep issue.

do you think the 2GB RAM brand is not good or this issue cant be resolved unless we use the 1GB Ram

    thx for your investigation
    regards

Please correct me if I am wrong, but this problem occurs with newer, faster RAM modules. They seem to be more power-hungry, making restoration of the wake-up difficult.
If you have the opportunity, try e.g. a 2GB RAM module DDR-533 (266Mhz). I guess you have a DDR2-667 (333Mhz), could you please confirm it?

    Hi Pytheas

    thx for your reply,

    indeed the 2GB RAM I have is "Kingstone DDR2 2GB 667 MHz" !

do u suggest to replace it with DDR-533 ? and is the DDR-533 will be slower than the 667 ?

    thx

OMG - Did you read the graphic's driver suggestion? If you did - you didn't acknowledge it. Why would you play with the RAM without verifying that you tried the graphics driver?
