Aspire one wont connect to internet please help

    Hi my aspire one wont connect to the internet at all. When i put the ethernet cable in it says limited or no connectivity. And when i try wireless that says limited or no connectivity. But my mum has the same laptop and she can connect straight away using either the lead or wireless. My router is a speedtouch st585 v6. And i am on talk talk. Please can anyone help
