Aspire One - Wireless Ok/Lan Not

    Hi,

    I installed Ubuntu 8.04, the wireless was working out of the box, but I have no clue how to go online with my ethernet lan cable. I plugged it in but nothing happened. I installed the network manager, but couldn't find the symbol to start this tool.

    Can someone help me to get this problem solved?

    To start NetworkManager:
    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager start
    but I'm guessing this isn't the problem

    To start the NetworkManager applet in GNOME:
