Aspire One D150 : KAV10 / AOD150 Will BIOS see 500GB Drive?

    Aspire One D150 : KAV10 / AOD150

    I'd like to upgrade the hard drive but want to make sure the BIOS will properly recognize a 500GB drive.
    Can someone please verify that it will?

    Don't see why it wouldn't. Nothing is special about 500GB drives compared to the 250GB that came with it that would make the BIOS not see it.

    Did you upgrade to 500GB?

    How did you install OS on the new Hard drive?

    I've been running with 500gb hd, 1.5mg ram, and windows 7 ultimate for a couple of years. Duals boot with ubunto. I really enjoy it as a travel computer as the military has sent me(and it) all over the world.

    +1 for the 500gb HDD. I dropped a WD Blue in there a few years ago and it's been working fine with xp. I'm toying with setting up a dual boot with Win 7.
