    Hello,

Have just bought this laptop and this is the first time I have bought one. Have some very dumb sounding queries.

    1. At the back side, on the panel, there is a small flap with 2 screws. I opened the screws and found the space empty. Can someone please tell me what it is for?

    2. My web cam does not work. I am using Windows XP SP2, one which I had with me before I shifted to Vista on my Desktop. Can someone advise?

    1. The empty space suppose to be filled with a 3G card and that will be implemented in future.
    2. Try to install the webcam driver. You can get the driver from the Driver section of this forum.

    Hi tot31,

I downloaded the webcam driver. Am downloading all the other drivers. There is one problem though..

When I try to install the Acer Crystal Eye webcam I get an error saying that the webcam has not been found!
Please plug in the acer crystal eye and then run the installation. Have I downloaded the wrong driver? or am I making another mistake?

Did you use this driver CCD_SUYIN_V.1.0.1.3? or you use a different one. I'm using this driver (CCD_SUYIN_V.1.0.1.3) and it works fine. First of all you must install the Intel chipset driver first i.e Chipset_Intel_v.8.3.0.1018 then install the rest of the drivers.
