Computers4sure is the first site I've found it listed on. They're pricing it $10 over the MSRP but that could change. I called and they said their estimated arrival of the stock is mid-September.

i wish these merchants would stop playing the "out of stock" game when the item was never in stock with begin with.

 

try beach camera i bought a 3 cell a150 and they have a 6 cell for 399$

I ordered mine too, i hope that's a very pessimistic date and they come sooner!

 

the "ships within 2 to 5 weeks" is a bit crazy.

within 2 to 5 weeks several things can happen:

(1) price drops. just like the last time
(2) other models come out with better configs and more competitive pricing

but i guess you can cancel the amazon order. not sure....

 

This is the AOA150-1447, right? It's has a different number sequence on the amazon page. All the specs look right, though. Although I couldn't find anything about the battery. It better darn well be the 6-cell or they'll be hell to pay. :x

 

The last sentence of the second product description

"Color: SeaShell White Battery: Six-cell"

According to the 'rumors' street date is 9/17.

9/17 is not that bad. but 5 weeks?

it seems netbook manufacturerers are eager to do the marketing but weak on the actually SUPPLYING.

the lenovo s10 ships within 8 weeks. our short attention span and need for immediate gratification means if another netbook comes out with respectable specs during that time s10 orders will be cancelled in waves.

 

By the way, Newegg just listed the AOA150-1566, the 6 cell version with the 8GB SSD for $399 + shipping.

160gb xp selling at amazon for 399$ 2 to 5 weeks delivery is a indeed 6 cell. it says in product spec. well at the bottom
it model no is not aoa110 or aoa105

 

I do not see 6 cell battery in product description anywhere,probably they removed it.I placed order because of larger battery.Well I will wait few days if it is in fact 6 cell battery if not Iwill cancel the order.

 

Grrrr - Amazon has made some changes in the listing. They removed the second product description paragraph. Now it doesn't mention what size battery at all . They also added a release date of Sept 23, 2008. I notice it has gone from #12 yesterday to #3 Bestsellers in Computers. I guess they are still tweaking. I'm like you - I want the 6 cell battery. Hopefully that is what they are selling here, since that is what Acer has said is coming. You would think that is something they would post. Not sure if there is a way to ask?!
