Advise me please on replacing my Aspire 8730 graphics card

    I have a aspire 8730 and would very much like to replace the GForce 9300 GS that came with the machine. It seems like it would be possible to replace because its not a built-in chip. So my first question: is it possible? My second question is: are there any guides for this sort of activity? Where would I buy laptop video cards? How do I determine which are compatable with my machine? Thank you.

    What do you mean by it not being a 'built-in' chip?

    Its extremely unlikely that you can change out the GPU on that or any other laptop.

    Hi, The Aspire 8730 dose not have a dedicated GPU, its integrated. Its the 8730'G' that does. IS this the model you have?
