ADSL speed issue with Acer One 110

    I have an Acer 110, which is suffering from slow wireless speed, the 110 is Linux, I have DLink 604+, if I download any large file the max speed I get 1s 16~17 kb, were as with a XP based laptop I get speeds of 100~110 kb for the same file. both downloaded seperately, if I connect hardwire the speed on the acer is comprable with the laptop 100~110 kb. which is my normal download speed.

    I am currently unable to connect to live updates, it just times out.

    Any help would be appriciated

    Get the latest atheros driver from europe acer site. Google "europe acer"
    I 'm getting awesome download speed with the atheros wifi (750 kbyte/sec)
    If that does not help, try to put power save mode to off instead of maximum, in atheros driver properties
