Acer vs Asus? Please help

    I'm looking for a new laptop. Around $600. I'd like touch screen, core I 3 or I 5' 500 gb hd and at least 4 gb ram. I've been looking and think I've narrowed my choices down to:
    Acer Aspire V5-571
    Asus S550CA -DS51t

    Any advice?

    Acer Is a nice laptop so is Asus but I would be be very aware that Packard bell has just been taken over by Acer and we have problems over here in the uk
    with some stores shipping old PB stock in new Acer laptops.

    You need to look at the system REQUIREMENTS for your design program...

    As an example....if its AUTOCAD you had better add another $1000 to your budget as $450 lappies will come nowhere near Autocads requirements...
