acer crystal eye webcam stop working

    hi...im running a windows vista home basic 32 on my acer aspire 4530. It has a built in webcam.All was fine when it just stop working.I usually use it on yahoo messenger.Device manager says its working properly.the drivers are updated.
    But when i open acer crystal eye webcam, its says camera not found. when i use it on yahoo messenger,all i see i dark black screen.I hope someone can help me fix my webcam.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Even though your machine is not an AAO, it probably uses the same webcam module. We've been having problems for years and discussed them several times over. The Crystal Eye cam modules just up and fail for no apparent reason. Some come back online of their own accord, other users have had some success with updating the cameras firmware. But by far the easiest and quickest solution is just to replace the module outright. In the AAO it's as simple as removing the screen bezel, undoing some screws and unclipping a wiring harness.
