Acer Aspire One D250 Problem!

    Hi.

    Dont know if there is allredy a topic about this... if so.. im sorry for posting it again.
    But i have a problem... and i need help.

    My new Acer Aspire One D250 dont work.
    First time i started it i got this message:

    ********************************************************************
    For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v1.0.0.5

    Check cable connection..!
    PXE-E63: Error while initializing the NIC
    PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
    No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
    ********************************************************************
    It is supposed to start Windows XP SP3.
    But i only get that message.......
    Can anybody help me with this please?

    sound's like you have a blank or bad hard drive.... you may have to exchange it

    That to me looks like your AAO is set to boot from LAN instead ofthe internal drive.

    I haven't toyed much in the BIOS yet myself, so not sure if this is even an option, but it's worth looking anyway
    NOTE: Tweaking or adjusting the wrong settings in your BIOS can be harmful to your system, if you don't know what the settings do, it is best left to contacting Tech Support, or someone who knows what they're doing. You can follow my instructions below only if you feel comfortable adjusting these settings. I take no responsibility for any damage.

    *Power on the system
    *While the AspireOne splash screen is displayed, tap F2 to access the BIOS
    -Once inside the BIOS settings, use your arrow keys to navigate, if you have any problems you can always use your EYES to read the instructions on the screen and follow them
    *Towards the right hand side, locate and select the option to "Load Setup Defaults and Exit"
    *Wait for the system to boot

    Booting from a LAN only works if you are hooked up to a LAN and other device that supports the boot option.
