accessing windows SMB shares

    I put a way to access windows network shares on the advanced networks part of this forum - as it was a list of instructions perhaps i should have put it here rather than there.

    New user here! But not Linux newbie...

    I did it like this: First I installed the smb4k package. Then I ran this command:
    sudo chmod +s `which mount.cifs`

    Then I've started Smb4k where I could mount my network drives.
