For those of you that have purchased the Acer Aspire One does it comes with the AC Power Adapter in the box?

Since I heard that battery last for 3 hours, I might as well plug it into wall adapter when I'm using the Aspire One. Would you people recommend that I do this every time I using the Aspire One?

I have ordered one, but it hasn't arrived, but of course it comes with an AC adapter, how would you charge it without one? :D

I don't believe I've seen any pictures of what it looks like though, I hope it's very small and light, and 2 prong (for the US at least).

I would recommend using it plugged in every chance you get unless you buy the 6 cell, which I will do once a site in the US of A gets them in stock.

It's sad, keeping a laptop that weighs barely more than 2 pounds plugged in defeats the purpose of having such a small laptop, but at the price point, you can't do any better.

Here in France it's a rectangular thing (2,6*3,4*8,6 cm) with a soldered jack cable going to the One and a detachable 3-prong mains cable.

It's pretty small with a lot of cable length, mine came with a Velcro strap affixed so i could tie it neatly :). I always plug it in when i get the chance, otherwise it'll die very quickly. It seems to take some time to recharge when in use though.

Kev, your photobucket is password protected. At least for me it is.

What is the output of the supplied AC adapter? Voltage output and current output.

Fixed that. Output is 19V if I'm reading the absolutely tiny text correctly.

Yeah. I hope it doesn't cost so much. I'd like to buy an extra and leave it at the office.

wonder if doing it like that would be cheaper than a 6 cell battery???

spose even a 6 cell wouldnt last all day, so having 2 adaptors would be really practical

A three cell and a six cell should last over eight hours, how long do you want your day to be?

Carry a big lead acid battery, an inverter and fit solar panels to your head.
    or
Ask acer for a 24 cell battery pack.

What you need is a 12V car battery plus an inverter. I bet that would keep a One powered for a week. All you need to do is attach some wheels and a piece of string to pull it along and you're set.

Ignore the inverter, too much loss. Go for the DC option.
