AAO ZG5 (AOA110) restore disks useless

Well, I ran into some major problems. My windows xp install on the SSD became corrupt and I have to reinstall. I dont have a USB DVD drive, so I imaged the CDs and "burned" them to my USB drive. Seems acer made it very hard to do without a DVD drive as there are 2 disks, one that is 450mb and bootable and one that contains 2gb of data and has no boot record. When booted from the 450mb image on the USB drive, there is no option to restore to factory settings, its grayed out. Will I need to get a USB DVD ROM drive to restore from the disks? There is no restore partition on this AAO.
