AA1 - ZG5 - Linux recovery disc and Firefox update

I am sorry if I cannot find a similar post already in the forum, but;

The laptop decided it would no longer mount SSD and USB (FAT) drives, would mount NTSC as read only, so need to fix that.

Would like to find and use latest recovery image then update Firefox to a later level.

Have no idea about Linux commands etc, any idiots guide to doing this please.
