The bios of my AO522 is reading the CPU as an AMD C-60 when in fact it should be a C-60 is there any particular reason for that?

I didn't even think that the C-60 existed at the time of the 522 launch.

In the UK the AO522 is always listed as containing an AMD C-50 cpu.

In fact the official sticker on the font of the netbook states

    AMD Dual-Core Processor C-50 (1.0GHZ)
    1GB DDR3 Memory
    3-cell Li-on battery

We got shafted over here on the screen spec and battery spec, it's nice to know they failed at cutting back the CPU.

Hi c-m, I also bought a AO722 who is written on the box and the sticker's netbook C-50 but it is really a C-60. The difference between the two is the C-60 has a turbo mode. Maybe when they build the netbook they ran out of C-50 and they put instead a C-60 without changing the specifications.

    Yeah.

I have noticed turbo mode kicking in when playing 720p videos in linux without HW acceleration. CPU usage was over 120% for each core. lol

That's the only bonus the UK models got. 3-cell battery, and only 1024x600 screen.
