Just wanted to share my thoughts of this product just in case some of you out there are considering the Zeroshock III 8.9. Here is where I bought it from:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/8-9-Laptop-case-Bla ... .m20.l1116

With the http://www.live.com rebate, I paid only a little over $20 for it.

The look of the case (black) is nice. The material will be prone to scratches, but the main point is protecting the AAO. The inside foam looks and feels like it will do the job. The ridges show that it will protect the AAO from some impact. I have the 6-cell battery and it is a perfect fit. There is barely any spare room around the edges (which is a good thing). The zipper closes easy. There is a zippered pocket on the top, but I don't think I will use it because I can't think of anything that would go in there.

Overall, it is a great product because it will do what I need it to do...protect my AAO. Oh, this also comes in orange and white if you want a different color...

Do you think you can post a video? Because I have the 6-cell also and it is in no way a perfect fit.

    Re: 8.9 Zeroshock III Review

i read that thread too, but it only mentioned the 10.4 zeroshock III. this is the 8.9 version and the auction stated it was for the AAO. i was worried about it fitting the 6-cell, but i measured against the inner dimension requirements and it fit (barely).

sorry, no video but i can give you two pics. it is a perfect fit and have been using it for two days:

Oh wow...interesting! The 8.9'' version is actually bigger than the 10.4 version!

The dimension of my case says 230x40x185 mm

yeah, i was thinking the same thing too. that is why i emailed the US seller to see if the 10.4 dimensions were wrong. she confirmed the dimensions and also said that the 6-cell would not work with the 10.4. so i went with the japan seller and i got the item super fast. highly recommended for US buyers who are wary about international shipment...

Yes, I screwed up and got a 10.4 instead of a 8.9, and it does NOT fit my AAO as it will not zip on the sides.

I am going to have to order a 8.9 from the Japan seller because the U.S. seller doesn't seem to have the 8.9 size!

Hey I am really interested in buying the Zeroshock III 8.9 for my AAO 6 cell, you stated that you got a rebate from live.com where exactly at live.com did you get this rebate? Also how does it work do you send a code number or something? Thanks

    Hi,

Does anyone have experience of this sleeve with 9-cell battery?
I'd like to get this sleeve, but I'm not sure if AAO with 9-cell battery will fit in there?

6-cell owners estimations of sleeve with 9-cell battery also appreciated.

    Hi again,

In case someone else is wondering about the same thing as I am:
I took my chances and ordered one. Fit of the case with the 9-cell battery is just perfect. Sure its tight but the zipper closes pretty nicely. And standard 3-cell battery fits nicely into the front pocket so I can have two fully loaded batteries with me all the time

Can you fit anything else in this case?

    HDD?
    Power?

    Cheers

Also how do you rate this as far as protection goes?
