4Gb Memory stick

    I have an Acer Aspire 5338 notebook with 3Gb ram. I tried using a 4GB USB memory stick on it but although Vista shows "New hardware installed" when I plug it in, it is not allotted a drive number? I have tried contacting Acer support about this problem, but unfortunatly they have been about as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

    right click on my computer, select manage, click on disk management. right click on the drive that doesn't have a drive letter and assign it one.
    that "should" do it
