Hi, I was reading on the acer website and in the FAQ's it suggests that 8gig is the largest sd card that works in the card reader/expanstion port... is this correct??

Please help this is the clincher for me..

According to user reviews of this 16gb SDHC card, it'll work rather happily with the Aspire One. Unfortunately several people seem to have gotten DOA cards, or cards that would fail after less than a days usage.

The Patriot 16GB works for me too! Does anyone know if this is a Linpus-only software method of expanding the "hard drive" space, or is this something that would work with whatever OS? (Ubuntu, XP, OS X?)

I just got a 16 gb hc patriot card and it does not show up on my computer, Did i get a defective card and how can i check it out?

Go to my files and look at the free space and used space on the drive (left hand side). If its over 8 Gigs then it worked.

I,ve tried it in both slots and it does not show up on the My Cumputer Screen.

Thanks for the replys, Problem Solved. The Card was not showing up as i had the wrong drivers installed, works fine now.

I just bought an A-Data 16 GB Turbo Class 6 SDHC and so far it has worked without a glitch.

I have just purchased a "16GB 16G SD SDHC Card with samsung HC CHIP" on EBay, from supplier dgseller_hk88 based in Hong Kong but looks like they'll deliver almost anywhere.

It works fine in both SD slots and adds correctly to the total storage in the left hand slot.

Best thing was the price $40.99AU including postage to Australia.

Now for another couple . . . . .

That's really cheap man. Are you sure they work 100% and not just show a 16GB capacity while only being able to store, let's say, 1 GB? I've bought some cheap memory cards on eBay before, and some of them were supposed to be 4GB (windows also showed a 4GB capacity) but could only hold 1GB, any other files became unreadable.

Does anyone have a 32 GB SD card? I doubt it because that is coming close to the cost of the A1, but sure would be gloating rights.

I own the same card and it works fine. I payed 44€.
But, sometimes it isnt mounted automatically during start up... Recently it is mounted every time, but there were some issues. Im Using Linpus. I didnt format the card after getting it, i unpacked it and put it into the One. Maybe that is the problem.

The card seems to be fine and actually loads up well. I have downloaded several Movies to it (800 MB each) and they loaded up fine.
