Is This A Suitable Replacement For Power Pack And Lead?

    As I'm sure many of you would agree, the power cable that comes with the Aspire One reduces it overall portability.

    Whilst looking for batteries, I also came across this power lead http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UK-AC-MAINS-ADAPT ... m153.l1262.

    This looks far more portable. I know very little about the intricacies of electrics but clearly this has no 'power pack', i.e. straight from mains into PC. Will this be safe to use or could this damage the little beauty?

    True. I use OEM one only for home as a desktop PSU...

    I have one of these and I do not have any problems with it. Light, small - really portable...

    Thanks melhoore. Ordered along with a 6 cell 6600 battery. Small world this interweb, just down the road from you in that town famous for eating pies.
