So anyone here who wears glasses or contacts or maybe it just ran across your mind.....have any of you worried about your eyesight getting worse and or bad from the AAO's screensize...etc and using it for long periods?

I wear glasses and the screen for the AA1 is so good that it is clear whether I am wearing my glasses or not.

I always put my head very close to the screen, sometimes I don't even realize that, my dad has to yell at me in order for me to "not" look so close.
I like the screen though, some pictures may appear blurry but on this screen, it is sharp no matter what.
BTW, red looks like orange on this screen. I think it is because the screen doesn't support that much colors.

Red is red on my AA1. Where did you hear that the AA1 doesn't support all the colors? Because as far as I know it uses true color.

I held it beside my other LCD display and the colors on my aao is just messed up.
It seems like it the display only uses 262k colors and not 1.67 million.

It is not the AA1 unless you have a bad AA1 because my screen has great color and all the test I have tried give good color. I suspect it is 32bit but I don't have anything that says that.

Why don't you just go test it out? At any Futureshop/BestBuy here in Canada, Radioshack, Staples, anywhere in the US. If you decide to buy one of the demos, you even get it cheaper. I know a friend who got one for $280, because it was scratched on the bottom (big whoop).

Isn't it a myth that straining your eyes premanently affects your vision?

There are a lot of variables like age, eye condition, kind of strain and how often or how much strain you place on your eyes.

I would personaly like to say i have never read this but playing halo 2 for 2 freaking years certainly did not help mine :(

maybe i would not test it out because no demos exist where i live.....maybe because i would not be able to get a bearing on usability even then

I never experienced any eye strain with the aao. However, with the eee 701 it took my eyes a few hours to adjust to it.
