    Hi!
I broke the cable that connect the motherboard to the LCD of my laptop and now the backlight is not working anymore. I have to replace this cable

I need some help in finding it. Can someone advise me a site or the name of the cable? And if it's possible to actually find it? Thanks.
PS: on the label there's written: A18 EDP cable 450.09u01.0013 REV A03 HTK (QC14) 16/08/05
Here the album of the pictures
PPS: the screen is a SHARP LQ133M1JW15

I think your SOL on this one and will have to purchase a new screen. That cable is non replaceable. Is it one wire thats broken visually? if so, try soldering it back together. If not, I think you are buying a new screen. Replaced enough of them throughout the years to know most every cable is hard soldered to the screen.

Guys, thanks for the help. The cable is not soldered at all! Look at the album I posted ALBUM LINK
Apparently the cable that's broken is one of those that brings power to the screen... I soldered the one little cable broken but didn't change anything. The problem is that even buying a new screen the cable wouldn't be included ...

Bing that entire number on the tag and see what you come up with....thats pretty awesome tho, it's connected with connectors at both ends. I have seen one end like it but not both. Do some searching and see what you can find with that number!

I can't find the exact cable anywhere! But I found something.. :Do you think that this cable could work? I know that the Lenovo ideapad 710s has the same screen (sharp LQ133M1JW15)

Edit: never mind. My cable has 30 pins (on the flat part that connects to the motherboard) and this one has 34...

Most times they are fairly specific. designed for that exact device. Best thing is to keep searching for one from the exact device. Hard to find for sure! Crappy deals tho.

I suggest you look at sites like ifixit and eBay, there's bound to be someone with those same cables. Though I doubt that the manufacturer will help you out without some payment, as breaking parts on a laptop typically means that your warranty is void.
