xfce crashed. how do i move files to my sd card without GUI?

    I tried adding applications to the ONE and now it won't boot to the GUI, XFCE4 seems to be having troubles. I have photos of my daughters on vacation on it, and don't want to wipe the disk by redoing the OS until after the files have been recovered.
    the command line linux is still there, but I don't know how to move the files onto an sd card with the command line. I don't even know if the netbook even sees the cards.
    can anyone help?
