Xbox 360 Controller

Hey guys i was wanting to set up a 360 controller for my roms but i cant seem to find any drivers or rpm software to get it to initialize. i tried the xpad driver and tried to compile the kernel but with no luck i was hoping to see if some one could assist me in this area.
